Your Privacy
All the information that ICABA collects from you is solely for the use of ICABA and its Members-ICABA will never share or sell any Member information. ICABA will not reveal your street address, private email address or any other personal information unless you choose to publish it-See Terms of Service. If someone wants to contact you, they’ll have to use the ICABA email address which will allow you to correspond without revealing your private email address. Upon Sign-in you will create an ICABA email account and your ICABA email address (not your private email address) will be published with your Member profile.
You Decide What Information is Public and What is Not
The whole point of being a member of a business network is to get the word out about your career, accomplishments and other important information. Naturally, the information you decide to publish will not be kept a secret. Therefore, in order to network with other Members you will need to tell us what information about yourself you want to publish. During the Sign-in process, you will provide certain information and you will decide which information will be made available to other Members and what information you want not to be published. If you decide later you want to publish certain facts, or change your mind and don’t want certain things to be continued to be published, you may customize your Member information at any time. ICABA will only publish the information to other Members that you tell ICABA to publish.
What Information Does ICABA Collect?
When you first become a Member, you have the option to input as much or as little information about yourself as you wish. At a minimum though, in order to become a Member you will need to at least put in your name, email address and other information as may be required in the Sign-in screen at such time. Optionally, you may then or later put in (or edit) other personal information, including your occupation, employer, title, schools attended. etc. ICABA also collects certain technical information, such as your IP address, type of browser and ICABA may use temporary of long term cookies to collect information when you visit the ICABA website to keep track of information you enter at the ICABA website to prevent you having to constantly repeating certain tasks.
How Does ICABA Collect Information?
Information is collected during the Sign-in screen when you decide to become a Member. Other information is input by you from time to time, as you determine. ICABA uses cookies and other technologies in order for the ICABA technology to work and identify you and your browser. ICABA will also automatically receive and collect such information as IP address, type of browser and ISP. If you attend an ICABA event, information such as your name, address, email, occupation and employer may be collected during the registration process.
Why Does ICABA Collect Information?
Some of the information collected by ICABA will allow other Members to network with you. Other information collected by ICABA will provide you with a customized experience when you view the ICABA website, such as remembering your preferences and viewing habits. We may use this information to improve our website and diagnose problems in our network.
ICABA will use your email address to provide you with newsletters or to communicate with you and notify you of ICABA events, special offers and items of news or other interest.
Why Your Information Is Secure
User data on ICABA is password-protected at multiple tiers, and sensitive data is protected by encryption when it is exchanged between your web browser and the ICABA site. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information. Emails and similar means of communication with other users of ICABA are not encrypted and we strongly request not communicating any confidential information through these means.
Opt-Out of Email
If you have elected to receive email from ICABA and you later decide you don’t want to receive e-mail in the future, please let us know by sending us an e-mail to this address: online@icabaonline.com.
In order to be removed you will need to send an email from the email account you want removed from our list and be sure to include the words “remove” or other clear statements of your intent. You will receive a confirming reply shortly.
Circumstances When ICABA will Disclose Personal Information
ICABA may disclose and use personally identifiable and other information in special circumstances where it is necessary to enforce our terms and conditions, policies and agreements. ICABA could also disclose and use personally identifiable and other information when ICABA believes, in its own good faith determination, that it is required by law to do so, or to detect, prevent, or otherwise remedy fraud, security or technical issues, and to protect the rights, property or safety of ICABA or its Members or prevent imminent harm.
