BBP’s Organizers would like to thank everyone who attended our first monthly Networking Social on Friday January 27th 2012 at the Quality Inn Sawgrass Conference Center in Plantation. It was well attended by local Black entrepreneurs, attorneys, medical, real estate and educational professionals. Everyone connected, collaborated and engaged from the moment they arrived until the event concluded. Nearly everyone was in agreement, events of this type are in far too short a supply in the area. Several professionals showed up simply as a consequence of Googling, “event’s for Black Professionals”. Therefore, on February 24th 2012, and every fourth Friday thereafter, we will continue hosting the Networking Socials at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale-Plantation Hotel located at 1230 South Pine Island Road in Plantation until we fill up the venue! Please take some time to help promote this Event. We are on Twitter @bbpflorida. We have a Facebook page and an EventBrite site. Black Professional Meetups are booming everywhere … Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc. There’s no reason South Florida can’t exceed them. We have the third-highest number of black-owned businesses in the nation and we have many Black celebrities who call South Florida home! We’ve got the momentum! We’ve got the resources! We’ve got the market!
